Each December, we participate in the Basalt Tree Lighting Ceremony at Willits and Downtown Basalt. We serve hot chili, bring the community together, and celebrate the holiday spirit with music, lights, and festivities.

We award $1,000 annual scholarships (renewable for four years) to graduating seniors from Basalt High School. These scholarships help students pursue higher education and achieve their dreams. Awards will be announced sometime between May 1–31, 2025, with exact notification times shared directly with recipients via email.

Join us at the Basalt Lacrosse Tournament, where the community comes together to celebrate youth sports and raise funds for local scholarships and service initiatives. The Basalt Lions Club will be serving delicious food at our fundraising booth, with all proceeds going towards supporting educational programs and community projects. We’ll also bring our iconic Pancake Wagon and be serving breakfast and lunch on both days!
The Basalt Lions Club proudly supports the Colorado Lions KidSight Program, offering essential vision screenings to preschool and elementary-aged children. This early screening helps detect eye issues that, if left untreated, could lead to long-term or permanent vision problems.
Our online silent auction is a fun and impactful way to support the Basalt Lions Club. Bid on incredible items donated by local businesses, with all proceeds benefiting our community programs.
A highlight of our fundraising efforts, our Annual Golf Tournament raises over $20,000 each year to fund scholarships and local projects.
